THUNDER BAY — A Thunder Bay Police cyber crime investigation has led to multiple charges against a city man related to child exploitation.
Police say they began an investigation in May of this year into an internet user believed to have been uploading digital media files. The files obtained by police revealed they were consistent with child pornography. Further investigation confirmed the files were associated with a local internet address.They seized several electronic devices, and learned that a man was posting as a person under 18 while contacting minors online and soliciting photos and videos from them.Berezowski appeared in court Wednesday and was released with conditions and a future appearance date.
In a news release about the case, Thunder Bay Police said they encourage parents to consider having a conversation with their children about staying safe online.
