SHARJAH, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES - MAY 22: Majid Rashid of Sharjah controls the ball against Thulani Serero of Al Jazira during the ADIP Cup Semi- Final match between Sharjah and Al Jazira FC on May 22, 2023 in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
The source indicated that the former Ajax star player is earning over 25,000 US Dollars a month in the UAE, and that in his opinion, the salary would be difficult to be matched by DStv Premiership sides in South Africa. "I can tell you that both teams have been in touch with his agent and the player himself but nothing has come out yet. They were waiting for the season to finish and see if Al Jazira will renew his contract and since there is nothing yet they want to try and bring him back home," the Siya source continued.
