Siya sources close to both Chiefs and AmaZulu FC have indicated that Amakhosi are increasing their interest in Tshepang Moremi as a potential alternative to Velebayi.Sources have added that Chiefs have been monitoring Moremi for some time and had previously inquired about the midfielder, who was also on the radar of Mamelodi Sundowns and Orlando Pirates. However, nothing materialised in terms of player movement at that time.
"As much as they are still looking at the possibility to continue talks with Cape Town Spurs, they don't want to be caught with their pants down and wandering and that's why they are looking at Tshepang Moremi from AmaZulu. Yes, they have talked to AmaZulu but there is nothing agreed yet because their first priority was Asanele Velebayi from Cape Town Spurs. So, now their attention is on Moremi," the second source stated.
