Chesney Hawkes teams up with NUH and issues plea for support

Bet you didn't have Chesney Hawkes and NUH collaborating on your 2024 bingo card

Pop legend Chesney Hawkes has teamed up with Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust in the year's most unexpected collaboration so far. Fortunately though they're not planning a new version of The One and Only .

Hawkes sent a video message, saying: “Have you, a relative or a friend received great care at Nottingham hospitals? If so, I want you to nominate a staff member, volunteer or a whole team for the Public Award and Volunteer of the Year Award. “This is your chance to say a big thank you to someone who has gone that extra mile for you or a loved one. Visit the NUH website to submit your nomination.”

Anthony May OBE DL, chief executive at NUH, said: “Our Public and Volunteer of the Year Awards are really special, as they give the public the opportunity to nominate individuals or teams who have been truly outstanding in their role. This is an opportunity to recognise and celebrate the invaluable contribution of our colleagues and volunteers, our frontline teams and those working behind the scenes.
