'Cherished and caring' woman killed after being hit by police car on Christmas Eve
THE family of a young woman who was hit by a police car have paid tribute to their "cherished daughter and caring friend."
Rachael Louise Moore, 22, tragically died following reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and a cop car in Liverpool.Credit: Merseyside PoliceEmergency services rushed to the scene at Sheil Road in Kensington, around 8.10pm last nightIn a heart-breaking statement Rachael’s family said: "Rachael Louise Moore aged 22, cherished daughter of Alison and Ian, sister to Ben and much loved granddaughter of Nana Sue."She will be greatly missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Detective Sergeant Kurt Timpson from the MATRIX Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "Following the death of Rachael we are providing assistance to the Independent Office for Police Conduct who has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident.
