Gabriel Magalhaes’ second-half tap-in was enough to see Arsenal beat Chelsea and return to the top of the Premier League.
Chelsea had been looking to return to winning ways in the league having been hammered 4-1 at Brighton the previous weekend, with manager Graham Potter suffering his first defeat since he took charge of the club in September. The Gunners had an opportunity of their own in the 18th minute when Gabriel Martinelli tried his luck from range, but it flew over the bar.
After a quiet first half, he had a half-chance at the start of the second, but his attempted strike was blocked.
