Armed with great music, local and Afrikaans influences and a touch of Asian flair, Chef Hilde-Lee Olivier (previously known for her exquisite creations as head chef at Restaurant Jardine) brings to life the vibey Toebroodjie as her new passion project:

with reimagined and elevated flavour combinations. Think pastrami with sauerkraut and tangy mustard and an array of ciabatta sandwiches loaded with fillings such as crumbed chicken breast, pastrami and smoked brisket, sundried tomato pesto and pickles.are the only stars of the show, the culinary adventure doesn’t end there. Other mouth-watering options will include an irresistible BBQ-glazed short rib, beer-battered oysters a whole-roasted cauliflower drizzled with a curry emulsion and sultanas.

To wash it all down, Toebroodjie will be offering an impressive selection of wines sourced from across the country, paying homage to South Africa’s rich winemaking heritage, which is pretty apt given its location in Stellenbosch.Relax and unwind in the Cape Winelands with an all-inclusive tranquillity getaway for two at Devonvale Golf & Wine Estate in Stellenbosch for R4 500 .

In the spirit of creating an all-around good vibe, the attached shop will house some Asian goodies, art, games and a quick takeaway.
