OpenAI, the makers of ChatGPT, are expecting to launch a computer-controlling AI agent in January as its next big hit.
Codenamed “Operator” the software will reportedly be able to control your browser after being given prompts.
“Operator” is the name of an upcoming AI assistant from OpenAI, the creators of ChatGPT, that will reportedly be able to take control of your PC and take actions on your behalf. Examples include booking flights and accommodation for you online and even writing code.details that Operator, the new “AI agent” is almost ready to be launched to the public, citing people close to OpenAI. The tool will apparently be launched in January as a “research preview” beta for premium users.
