CHARLOTTETOWN, P.E.I. — The municipal planning and heritage department in Charlottetown will be restructured into two distinct service areas following a resolution by council.
New areas are policy and heritage, with Donna Miller-Ayton as the manager, and development, with manager David Gundrum appointed.It will also help with urban design and heritage guidelines, developing strategies on the environmental, economic, social and cultural aspects, while approving short-term rentals licensing.
They’ll also handle project inspections, land use complaints and enforcement, as well as improve application and permit approval processes.
