Charlotte Maxeke hospital fire was arson – report | The Citizen

Although the forensic fire investigator recommended that further investigations take place, no progress seems to have been made. 🚑

According to the Democratic Alliance’s shadow health MEC Jack Bloom, Acting Health MEC Nomantu Nkomo-Ralehoko told him the report in to the hospital’s fire is still pending.“In my experience, the Premier’s office is the graveyard of investigations as they are never done speedily or made public,” said Bloom.Bloom said he is concerned that the fire was started to cover up corruption at the hospital.

“The fire damage has caused immense disruption and patients have suffered, including lives lost from delayed treatment.”Some of the reasons given for deadlines being missed include theft and vandalism.
