Dad-of-two Thomas says the groups have also helped many of the dads 'massively'.
Dads Rock is running free playgroups for dads and their children in Easterhouse in an effort to help dads meet other dads.to ensure they have the best start in love by providing support to dads and families.The Edinburgh-based organisation has run free playgroups in the city for more than 10 years before starting them in Glasgow last year.
He said:"I had a toddler and I was surprised there weren’t a lot of groups or things for dads around so we thought we’d start a playgroup and it snowballed from there. "I think sometimes men are not as good at socialising and sometimes they struggle a wee bit more with being in groups, or being part of a group, so I think having a group that’s all dads or all men makes it easier for them to come along and be part of."On the last Saturday of each month, the group will also be going on trips, with the first having taken place on Saturday, January 28 to Kelvingrove Park.
