interrogation game show format saw members of the public who consider themselves amateur sleuths listen to unbelievable stories from a series of 'suspects'. However, only one of them was telling the truth, so experienced police detectives tried to sort the fact from the fiction by interrogating the suspects.
Meanwhile the contestants tried to dig into the stories of the suspects as well, poring over every detail and questioning them in the interrogation cell. If the contestants identified the correct suspect, they won a cash prize, but if the suspects were convincing enough and the contestants ended up picking a fake, it was the suspect who walked away with the money.
