In Stasher’s case, we are completely obsessed with the fact that we want to reduce our plastic waste footprint on the planet. We want to make a big difference in reducing single-use plastics. It's been our focus from day one. And for me, impact means having an alternative to plastic bags available to more and more people so that they have better options.I exercise like crazy. I work a lot better if I have some clarity, and exercise is a big part of my everyday routine to get that clarity.
My mom has a Ph.D. in nutrition and my dad was second in the world in wrestling, and I just grew up with really healthy habits. Being balanced was a big part of my upbringing. They taught me that you need to really expend the energy that gets bottled up in you all day long and do it in a positive way. So I've always incorporated exercise and mindfulness into my routine. I tend to learn more by watching other people, than by taking advice.
I try not to micromanage people. If anything, I try to show them my vulnerability so that they know that I'm not perfect. I try to share everything so that my team is there for me and I am there for them.First and foremost, I make sure that I have the right person in the role, they have everything they need, and I'm pretty much just fertilizing the soil. Once I feel like I fertilize the soil, the person is completely capable of it and they have everything, then I get out of the way.
