The gauge of a big match is the pre match activity in the press room. The space was buzzing. It promised to be the match of the season with both sides aware of its importance. It lived up to some of the hype. City responded with an Erling Haaland effort after sixteen minutes after good work by Riyad Mahrez.
Saka, Arsenal’s best player as he tormented Bernardo Silva who unsually was playing as left back, had a mazy dribble into the City box which caused mayhem before City stopper Ederson put paid to his efforts.
