Defender Aaron Herrera was acquired by CF Montreal in trade with Real Salt Lake on Wednesday.
Real Salt Lake gets $350,000 in 2023 General Allocation Money, $150,000 in 2024 General Allocation Money, Montreal’s natural first round pick in the 2023 MLS SuperDraft and a 2023 international roster spot in return. “ can play a variety of positions, both as a central defender in a three-man backline, and on the flanks, on the right and on the left,” CF Montreal vice-president and chief sporting officer Olivier Renard said in a release.
