Central Pa. DUI driver died weeks after crashing into tree: police

He died Wednesday, more than two weeks after the crash, from complications, police said.

A central Pennsylvania man was under the influence of a drug earlier this month when he crashed into a tree in Perry County, causing injuries that killed him weeks later, authorities said.

Robert L. Kelley, 29, of Windsor, lost control of his car while driving south around 7:07 a.m. Sept. 11 on the 300 block of Red Hill Road in Howe Township, according to Pennsylvania State Police. State police said Kelley’s Honda Accord careened off the road, crashed into a tree, and came to a rest in a ditch.On Wednesday, more than two weeks after he was injured, Kelley was pronounced dead at Holy Spirit at 2:39 a.m. State police said he died from crash-related complications.
