13,000+ without power amid afternoon thunderstorms
More than 12,000 Centerpoint Energy power customers were without power in and around Harris County as an afternoon thunderstorm passed over the region.Power restoration times weren't immediately available.
The National Weather Service in League City has issued a warning about strong storms passing through Harris County until 5:45 p.m. The storms might bring hail and winds of up to 40 mph.
