Ellie Dixon, singer of Big Lizard Energy, will be performing live at Parkhead before the Hoops take onThe Cambridge-born singer wowed Celtic fans with her version of the popular fan chant, which celebrates Hoops winger Jota.They wrote: "Big Lizard Energy is coming to Celtic Park! We're excited to welcome @elliedixonmusic to Paradise this Saturday, where she will perform her brilliant version of 'Jota on the Wing' before the Glasgow Derby.
We previously reported that Ellie addressed coming to Glasgow during a live question-and-answer session on TikTok with her fans. During the live, Ellie said:"Hello to all of the Celtic fans. I've learnt a new phrase...mon the Hoops."For anyone who doesn't know what happened. I basically went on a sports radio show on the BBC, it's called BBC"They do a segment where they get musicians in to sing football chants. And so I picked one and then it blew up like crazy.
"And now things are going a bit mad. And no comment if I'm coming to Glasgow or not, that's...secrets."She was amazed by the response from fans after she first sang it on BBC Radio 5 Live, and then released a longer recorded version of the tune.Jota commented on her Instagram post, saying:"This is special. Much love 🤍."
