CDK Global, a week after being struck by two cyberattacks, told its dealerships it doesn’t expect to restore all systems before June 30 despite “making significant progress.”

CDK reminded dealers to rely on its Dealer Resource Center, which houses commonly used documents and forms to support sales and service efforts. Its Digital Retail, CDK Phones, Payroll Plus and ServiceView applications continue to be available for use, the company said. The latest CDK update comes as a clearer picture has emerged of how much the June 19 cyberattacks are disrupting the largest U.S. auto dealership groups.

Cox Automotive Chief Economist Jonathan Smoke – who spoke during a call June 25 with media about Cox’s Mid-Year Review and economic outlook – said the CDK disruption adds to general hesitancy to buy big-ticket items like vehicles because consumers now may believe it would be inconvenient to try. AutoCanada said it hasn’t identified any breaches with its own systems, though it took steps to protect its own network, is reviewing the potential impact and still selling at its stores “through manual and alternative processes.”CDK, which contracts with more than 15,000 dealership in the U.S. and Canada, has said it could be"several days" before there is a resolution.
