Police believe the man in the image may help their investigation

CCTV footage has been released after an assault near a Christmas market in Glasgow.

The incident occurred at Mitchell Street, near the festive market stalls at St Enoch Square, at around 7.45pm on December 3, 2022. Officers investigating the attack believe the man in the image may be able to help with their investigation. Detective Constable Duncan Bruce, of the Greater Glasgow Public Protection Unit, said: “We are appealing for the man in this image, or anyone who knows the identity of the man to come forward, as we believe he can assist our investigation into the incident.via 101, quoting incident number 4175 of December 3, 2022.

"Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where information can be given anonymously.”
