The National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory in the San Francisco Bay Area until 3 p.m. Sunday.

Dangerous swimming and surfing conditions are expected, and inexperienced swimmers should not go in the water. Winds have also been blowing strong onshore. Overnight gusts reached 43 to 72 mph at Mount St. Helena north of Santa Rosa but are expected to decrease gradually by Sunday afternoon, the NWS said, with a potential to increase again Sunday night.© Copyright 2022 CBS Broadcasting Inc. and Bay City News Service.
