“She now has death threats and has to now travel with security,” Winfrey told Hoda Kotb and Jenna Bush Hager on theCBS declined to discuss the nature of the threats today, but Zirinsky’s statement confirms Winfrey’s account.The controversy started after King interviewed Bryant’s good friend, former WNBA star Lisa Leslie, about the late Los Angeles Lakers star’s legacy.
Leslie replied, “It’s not complicated for me at all… I just never see — have ever seen him being the kind of person that would be — do something to violate a woman or be aggressive in that way. That’s just not the person that I know.” King uploaded her own video on Instagram on Feb. 6, criticizing CBS for posting a “salacious” clip from her interview.
