Christian Brothers' College Boksburg recently partnered with HOT 1027 FM to make a young man's dream of attending their school a reality.
Thoriso made it through the scholarship process at CBC Boksburg, but the family could still not afford to send their son to college despite being awarded a 50% scholarship. Andy Swanepoel, the Hot Cares project coordinator at HOT 1027. FM and Nikita Teixeira, head of marketing at CBC Boksburg, negotiated about screening candidates for the 100% scholarship worth R600 000, which Toby Craig, headmaster of CBC Boksburg had pledged at the Hot Cares 2023 Teddython.
