Cavalry to face Pacific in Canadian Championship's preliminary round CavsFC CanPL
The Cavalry-Pacific winner will move on to the quarterfinals to face the winner of the first-round match between Valour and TSS Rovers FC Richmond of League1 BC.Article contentAtletico Ottawa vs. HFX Wanderers Cavalry has had success in past Canadian Championships, most notably in 2019 when it upset the Whitecaps to advance to the semifinals. In this year’s tournament, the clubs would meet in the semifinals if both advance to that stage.
The Canadian Championship winner will also qualify for the Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, the elite club competition in the region.
