Casualty viewers are familiar with Doctor Dylan Keogh and his fondness for his cherished dog Dervla over human company. However, he was heartbroken to discover that his furry friend had cancer, leading to a tragic turn of events in Saturday's episode.
During a staff meeting, Dylan received a call from the vets informing him that there was nothing more they could do and that Dervla would need to be put down. As the vet administered the euthanasia drug, Dylan continued to stroke Dervla, reassuring her: "Just look at me, it's ok, it's ok."
