Voting for the Tribune's 2023 Holiday Cookie Contest finalists begins Monday, Oct. 16, at noon.
The ovens have cooled and aprons have been hung. Now it’s time to decide whose cookie will get the chance to compete for one of our three cash prizes. Voting for the 12 Holiday Cookie Contest finalists begins noon Monday, Oct. 16. Readers can vote online at chicagotribune.com/cookies2023 once a day until Friday, Oct. 27, for the recipes they want to advance to the next round. After voting ends, the top 12 recipes will be baked by Tribune staff for judging.
Martin Sorge, Nirali Chauhan and Sarah Chang, Chicagoans who competed in “The Great American Baking Show,” are going to sample the 12 finalists in our test kitchen and narrow down the winning three. Judging will take place in our test kitchen on Nov. 1. The winners will be notified by Nov. 3, and we’ll publish the three winning recipes online and in print after the Thanksgiving holiday.
