Cassidy Hutchinson stands by her testimony before the Jan. 6 committee on Tuesday, according to a new statement from her legal counsel.
The onetime aide to former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows is not backing down from her testimony, even as some have come forward prepared to push back concerning claims she made.
Hutchinson made several explosive allegations in the hearing, including sharing a story she heard from a top Secret Service official that then-President Donald Trump attempted to grab the steering wheel of the presidential limousine and reached for the neck of his head of security when told they could not drive to the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, after his speech on the Ellipse.
