She said, for instance, that the unvaccinated “have been the most discriminated group that I’ve ever witnessed in my lifetime.” It was a fairly innocuous, if hyperbolic, comment, but one that was entirely tone deaf and risked alienating large swathes of would-be conservative voters.

It also isn’t clear what Smith would be willing to do if no one is watching. A recording surfaced in January of the UCP leader speaking to pastor Artur Pawlowski about charges he was facing related to the Coutts blockade, something clearly inappropriate for a premier to do.
