South African players will now have access to local Valorant servers following a partnership between Carry1st and Riot Games.

Said South African Valorant servers are set to go live from 31st August, so there will still be a short wait for those players wanting to experience the improved latency that has been touted thanks to this partnership.

“The announcement follows its partnership with Carry1st, who will run campaigns to engage with VALORANT players across various cities in South Africa… Carry1st will provide interactive experiences for fans of VALORANT. With significantly improved latency, South African players can look forward to a seamless experience of the 5v5 tactical shooter game,” the company outlined in a press release sent to Hypertext.

“We’re excited to partner with Riot Games to scale the reach of VALORANT in South Africa. With the introduction of local servers, African gamers can enjoy their gameplay experience on par with players around the world,” added Carry1st CEO, Cordel Robbin-Coker. To celebrate the Valorant server launch, Carry1st is inviting players and those interested in the game to experience it in-person at Comic Con Africa 2023 next month, taking place from 22nd to 25th September at the Johannesburg Expo Centre.

“Players can learn about the game, join VALORANT tournaments, win exclusive giveaways, and more. Fans can also stay tuned to Carry1st social channels for regular updates on events and other exciting news,” Carry1st concluded.
