Former Ohio State safety Jordan Fuller is leaving the Los Angeles Rams for the Carolina Panthers, joining the Panthers on a one-year contract worth up to $5.25 million.
The former Ohio State safety signed a one-year deal worth up to $5.25 million with the Panthers on Friday, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.A sixth-round pick in the 2020 NFL draft, Fuller outperformed his draft position in his four years with the Rams, starting 46 games and recording 118 total tackles with seven interceptions, four forced fumbles, 17 passes defended and two tackles for loss.
Now, Fuller will be tasked with trying to help lead a turnaround for the Panthers, who were the NFL’s worst team in 2023, allowing 24.5 points per game – the fourth-most in the league – en route to a 2-15 record. He replaces another Buckeye in the Panthers’ secondary, Vonn Bell, who was released by the Panthers after just one season and rejoined the Cincinnati Bengals earlier this week.
