One-year pilot program will take people from hotels to restaurants and destinations of interest around town
Free electric shuttles will take Carlsbad visitors from hotels and motels to restaurants, shops and other destinations around town in a one-year pilot program launched this month.
“Carlsbad is 39 square miles with lodging properties spread throughout the community, so there is a need for easy and accessible transportation for our overnight guests,” said Kim Sidoriak, president and CEO of Visit Carlsbad, in a news release. The service is called Carlsbad Good Ride.
To use it, visitors can download the Ride Circuit app from Google Plan or the Apple App Store, select their location in Carlsbad, and enter pick-up and drop-off locations. Employees at Carlsbad hotels and resorts will be available to assist, if necessary.
