Head coach Ryan Day has hired veteran coach Carlos Locklyn as the team's running backs coach, OSU said on Monday. Locklyn has spent the last two seasons coaching the Oregon Ducks, during which time Oregon was ranked in the top 30 nationally in rushing yards per game. Prior to his time in Oregon, Locklyn spent a year coaching running backs for the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers, helping pave the way for the team to reach the Conference USA championship game. Under his guidance, the Hilltoppers ranked second nationally in total offense as well as second in the FBS in scoring offense.Locklyn also served off the field as Florida State's director of high school relations in 2020, and in various roles at the University of Memphis prior to that.
