The Gauteng Department of Social Development says it has closed a creche in Carletonville.
The Carletonville crèche caught up in an abuse scandal has been found to be non-compliant and has been closed.
According to Gauteng MEC for Social Development, Nandi Mayathula-Khoza, the crèche’s licence expired in 2016.Police confirm crèche teacher's arrest for abuseWe are closing this school because of negligent of children. I asked if the school was registered and we found out it was registered in 2016 but the registration has expired"hose are the factors we considered when we decided that the school is gonna be shutdown", said Mayathula-Khoza.
