An officer at 12:27 p.m. on Aug. 22 responded to the parking lot of Harbor Freight Tools on Great Northern Boulevard for a report of a stolen car.
The owner stated that he parked his black 2007 Pontiac G6 at 2:15 p.m., and when he returned at 2:20 p.m., the car had been stolen. The man told officers that the car had very little gas in it and that the brakes were in very bad condition. The man said he had left the vehicle unlocked and with the key either in the ignition or under the driver’s seat.Dillard’s security called the North Olmsted Police Department at 2:27 p.m. on Aug.
An off-duty police officer working security at the department store spotted a woman walking around the first floor of the department store while carrying a box of Ralph Lauren Polo shirts. Officers at 4:05 p.m. on Aug. 18 responded to Dick’s Sporting Goods regarding a male shoplifting suspect. The man grabbed an armful of store merchandise and ran out the north doors of the store and into the parking lot toward Red Lobster. As officers arrived, a Red Lobster employee told them the suspect had run into the restaurant. Employees inside the restaurant said the man ran through the restaurant and out a fire door exit. The suspect was arrested outside. Police retraced his steps and accused the suspect of dumping Dick’s merchandise near dumpsters in the rear of the restaurant.
