A woman had to be taken to hospital after the car she was travelling in plunged into the River Clyde.
Two people were pulled from the water in the Castle Road area of Port Glasgow on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to the scene at around 2pm and one woman was rushed to Inverclyde Royal Hospital for treatment. Her condition is currently unknown.Two male passersby tried to help the women involved before emergency services arrived. Another image showed emergency services and the Coastguard in attendance. A truck could later be seen recovering the vehicle from the water.
