Some Capitec Bank clients were left in a panic on Tuesday morning when the bank’s online banking app failed to reflect the payment of April salaries. The realisation left many of the JSE-listed financial services provider’s customers disgruntled, with some taking to social media to express their frustrations. Capitec said in a short statement that the bank’s IT team has resolved the issue.

Although there was a slight delay in balance updates, all card payments and debit orders were not affected and clients can now continue using the app,” Capitec said. This is not the first App-related incident that has left Capitec customers in a panic.
