A third period injury may keep T.J. Oshie out of Washington's lineup for an extended period.
Oshie was shaken up on the play and remained on the ice in visible pain before heading for the locker-room leaned over and clutching his left shoulder. Foegele was assessed a minor penalty for boarding on the play.
Ovechkin on Foegele’s boarding of Oshie: “It’s a dirty play. It has to be not two minutes. It has to be a different call.”We’ll have to wait to see if the NHL’s Department of Player Safety agrees with Reirden’s sentiment.
