CapeNature has opened South Africa's first slow hiking track in the stunning De Mond Nature Reserve , only a stone's throw from the ancient coastal village of Arniston. The Damara Trail is a unique immersive natural experience that encourages people to 'take their time and explore the surroundings'. The trail was launched in honour of World Tourism Day on September 27 and has been designed for young and old of all fitness levels.

A specialised shuttle service will thereafter collect tourists and transport them back to the De Mond Nature Reserve. Hikers are encouraged to take their time and savour the experience and natural beauty of the trail. The Damara Trail is perfect for families, groups of friends, and anyone looking for an accessible hike and a peaceful escape from the world.
