'Tatum was knocked with such impact that her body was flung on top of a roof,' says ward councillor Angus Mckenzie. An 18-year-old teenager was knocked by an allegedly unlicensed driver:

It is believed that the young unlicensed driver stole his father’s car and was driving under the influence of alcohol.

Ward councillor Angus Mckenzie says it is believed the young man lost control of the vehicle after revving down Bonteheuwel Avenue. A male individual was knocked, followed by Tatum Hendricks. Thereafter the car knocked into two properties in Bluegum Avenue.Tatum and the other male individual were transported to hospital as well as the driver who had to be cut out of the car.“The actions of the driver cannot go unpunished.
