The Western Cape Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Hisense South Africa, and the Sendinggestig Museum have teamed up to unveil the Tevolution Museum in Long Street,Officially launched on Wednesday, this one-of-a-kind museum takes visitors on an interactive journey through the evolution of television, blending nostalgia with cutting-edge technology.
At the heart of the museum is its show-stopping highlight: the 110-inch UX TV, one of the largest commercially available screens in South Africa. Retailing at just under R400 000, this state-of-the-art model is manufactured locally at Hisense’s Atlantis factory, which employs over 1000 South Africans.
