Cape Town police have arrested three suspects this week for possession of illegal guns, ammunition, and drugs. Spokesperson Joseph Swartbooi said the illegal firearms were retrieved in Atlantis, Kraaifontein, and Browns Farm. 'The members proceeded to Sacramento Street in Saxonsea and entered the house, upon which a search ensued. Their persistence was rewarded when they discovered and confiscated a revolver with ammunition and detained a 25-year-old male.
' Swartbooi said Kraaifontein police made another arrest in Bharu Street after seeing a suspicious man with an object in his hand. 'They apprehended and searched him, which resulted in the recovery of a 9mm pistol with ammunition and the detention of the 22-year-old man for the possession of an unlicensed firearm and ammunition.' Swartbooi said the third arrest came later on Christmas Day in Dweza Street, Browns Farm, where police were looking for a drug dealer. 'Upon entering the home, they searched the premises and the occupants and confiscated 88 sachets filled with methamphetamine and cash. They detained a 27-year-old female for dealing in drugs.
