Cape Town International Airport has done it again, snagging the top spot for the seventh year in a row.
The award was presented in Paris, France at the 2022 World Airport Awards and saw Cape Town take home the award for “Best Airport in Africa.
Johannesburg’s OR Tambo maintained its position as the third-best airport in Africa but saw its worst slide ever, dropping 17 places in the global rankings which saw it step down from 54 in 2021 to 71 in 2022. Doha’s Hamad International Airport is still considered the best airport in the world, followed by Tokyo and Singapore.
