Find car listingsAirHelp evaluated 239 airports from 69 countries based on flights taken from 1 May of the previous year to 30 April of the current year. ‘There are over 4 000 airports in our database, which we whittled down to 239, based on the busiest airports according to flight traffic, and most popular with air travellers. We aim to rank the world’s major airports, but it’s worth noting that some are excluded due to a lack of data’ explained AirHelp.
Airports were assessed on three criteria: on-time performance, customer opinion, and food and shopping options. Both CTIA and ORTIA are managed by the Airports Company South Africa , which celebrated the achievement on X, formerly known as Twitter.
