A group of hikers saved the life of a trail runner who fell while searching for a geocache on Table Mountain.
Local Cape Town heroes saved a foreign trail runner's life after he fell several meters near the top of Hiddingh Ravine on Table Mountain . The trail runner was attempting to find a geocache when the accident happened. Injured and unable to call for help, he tried to crawl back up the steep trail to Smuts Track. Fortunately, three local hikers heard his cries for help and immediately descended to assist him. They helped him back up to Smuts Track while waiting for rescue teams.
