Shumeez Scott (19) is joining the ranks of Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters and Rolene Strauss, South African pageant winners who've made it big on the world stage.

Capetonian Scott, who has Down's Syndrome, was last week crowned Miss Magnificent Women Phenomenal International.

Scott, said of her victory, "they called my name out and I wanted to feel like crying I was so excited... I just feel like I love the crown to be on my head." Scott started stealing hearts in 2017 when an informal modelling session with her sister caught a local newspaper's attention.She wants to help children model and open her own centre.She now helps 36 disabled children and adults with self-confidence.She said,"I want to tell them to parents don't hide your kids. Let them believe in themselves"
