Derek Mombourquette, representing the Sydney-Membertou riding, is staying on as house leader but will become a shadow minister for Economic Development and Tourism. Mombourquette previously served as opposition critic for Education and Early Childhood Development following last year’s provincial election.
The 17-member critic team will work to hold Tim Houston’s Progressive Conservative government to account, as well as closely monitor a certain department or issue, while offering alternative policy to the Houston government’s position, the release said.
