CONTRIBUTED - ContributedGLACE BAY, N.S. – More than 700 patrons took to the Savoy Theatre in Glace Bay on Sunday for the Rise Together! fundraiser to help those affected by post-tropical storm Fiona.
All funds raised will go to the Red Cross, which will distribute a one-time financial payment to qualified individuals affected by Fiona. Although Fiona made landfall in Nova Scotia more than a month ago, the effects are still being felt on Cape Breton as the island continues cleanup work, prompting hundreds to pile into the Savoy Theatre for a night to remember.
The Cape Breton House band was also in attendance featuring Stephen Muise, Fred Lavery, Emily Dingwall, Brian Talbot, Colin Grant and Jamie Robinson.
