A real sense of urgency came about the Sea-Hawks with their play in the final 45, pushing more for offense with progressive passing and a real purpose. However, despite their best efforts, the Capers defending, and strong possession game allowed them to stifle any chances the Sea-Hawks had developing. There wasn't much action as the game winded down, the Capers did their best to limit any chances on goal and they did admirably.
Cape Breton's Haley Kardas stopped both shots she faced. Memorial's Sydney Walsh stopped 11 of 15 shots.Fatou Ndiaye had the only goal in the contest for the Capers.
