ContributedINVERNESS, N.S. — Cape Breton-born artist Katie Kehoe will showcase her latest exhibition, What Keeps You, at the Inverness Country Centre for the Arts.
“Having been raised in the Margarees, when I was creating work for this exhibition, it was important for me that the work reflect the community and my connection to this area,” said Kehoe in a news release. Also on view is an interactive installation that encourages visitors to reflect on their connection to the region.
The exhibit also features several animations and drawings, each of which is made up of hundreds of repetitions of the word and.For Kehoe, the idea behind the piece is that the word is a bridge in communication.
