Canucks: Tanner Pearson's season is over due to hand injury

The veteran Vancouver Canucks winger broke his hand Nov. 9 vs. Montreal and has had three surgeries on it since.

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Tanner Pearson underwent a second hand surgery yesterday after a setback in his recovery, and he will miss the remainder of the 2022.23 season.The veteran winger originally injured his hand in a Nov. 9 game vs. the Montreal Canadiens and had surgery the next day. He was originally expected to be out four to six weeks, the team said.

But a month later his hand was not healing as hoped and he had another procedure on his hand, setting back his expected return.After Christmas, head coach Bruce Boudreau said he wasn’t sure when Pearson would be back, but expressed some optimism he might join the team on their current road trip.He has one year remaining on his contract.
